Pride

PRIDE is a story that plays out at every high school in America several times a year. Boy develops crush on girl. Girl is flattered, but brushes boy off initially…..plays hard to get. He persists for a while, and eventually she lowers her guard to let him in, but it’s too late. He’s moved on and she doesn’t like it.

Musically, I decided I wanted to create a song that could easily stand on its own as a one instrument, one vocal line creation.  PRIDE is that song, but naturally, I couldn’t resist building a much bigger production.  But hey….look……no horns!!!!!!

Thanks to my friends Allen Brown and Marna Bales for their harmonies and backing vocals, while Jody Boyd refined the guitar tracks, played drums, and engineered the track.
